Uzbekistan, UK Expand Cooperation in Medical Education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan held an online meeting with participation from the leadership of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry and the Tashkent Pharmaceutical University, alongside UK healthcare and education expert David Sheppard, focusing on expanding cooperation in medical and pharmaceutical education.

The sides discussed improving the training system for specialists in Uzbekistan in line with international standards. Special attention was given to the introduction of modern educational programs aimed at enhancing the quality of highly qualified personnel for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.

The dialogue also reviewed prospects for expanding academic cooperation using advanced British experience. This included the launch of joint educational programs, organization of professional development courses, and the introduction of innovative approaches into the education process.

Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation in education and agreed to continue work on expanding practical collaboration.
