Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks in Riyadh with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif, discussing the current state and future prospects of bilateral investment cooperation.

The negotiations took place on May 3 during the Uzbek delegation’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to Saidov, the sides noted the steady development of Uzbek-Saudi relations based on mutual trust and respect, and recorded growth in both the scale and quality of investment cooperation.

During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on further steps to expand cooperation and improve existing mechanisms of interaction. Special attention was given to opportunities for deepening investment ties between the two countries.

The Uzbek side also invited Saudi partners to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which is scheduled to be held in June this year.

Following the talks, Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed confidence that the dialogue would contribute to further strengthening the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
