Uzbekistan, GCC discuss expansion of regional cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks on 3 May with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, focusing on prospects for expanding cooperation.

During the meeting, participants reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s strong interest in further strengthening ties with the regional organization and noted the positive momentum in relations across a wide range of areas.

Special attention was given to preparations for upcoming joint events, as well as the promotion of practical initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and transport sectors.

Both sides expressed readiness to further expand practical cooperation and implement new joint projects of mutual interest.
