Tashkent Matiz Driver Accumulates 912 Traffic Violations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Authorities in Tashkent have identified a Chevrolet Matiz whose driver systematically violated traffic rules, accumulating 912 administrative fines since April 2024, according to the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement.
The total value of the unpaid fines exceeds 311 million soums.
Farrukh Toshpulatov, head of the Bureau’s information service, said the driver repeatedly ignored traffic regulations and failed to pay issued fines over an extended period, causing the debt to steadily increase. As a result, the vehicle was placed on a wanted list.
On May 15, during operational and enforcement measures, relevant authorities located the vehicle and placed it in an impound lot.
Toshpulatov noted that the case represents a record number of recorded violations at present.
The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement continues enforcement actions aimed at ensuring compliance with traffic legislation and collection of outstanding administrative penalties.
