Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Samarkand region led by regional governor Adiz Boboev held a meeting in the United States with Gabriela Zelaya, regional director of the California office of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

The talks focused on modern technologies and the prospects for applying artificial intelligence across various sectors of the economy. The sides discussed opportunities for implementing AI-based solutions in the digitalization of tourism, trade, and economic management, as well as the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

During the meeting, a presentation was delivered on the development of anthropomorphic and physical forms of artificial intelligence, their integration into everyday life, and the expansion of their use in the services sector.

Special attention was given to the use of AI to improve production efficiency, enhance management systems, and improve the quality of customer service.

The meeting was described as another step in strengthening direct ties between Samarkand region and technology centers in the United States, creating a foundation for potential joint innovation and investment projects.
