Ferghana Region Expands Fruit Exports to Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ferghana region led by regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, currently on a working visit to Japan, discussed expanding supplies of agricultural products to the Japanese market, including increasing exports of fruits and vegetables grown in the region.

The meeting took place at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan with the participation of Ramzan Siddiq, head of Washin Trading Co., Ltd. Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan, Mukhsinkhodja Abdurakhmanov, also attended the event.

During the talks, the parties discussed issues related to the systematic supply of fruits and vegetables from Ferghana region to Japan, as well as opportunities to increase export volumes and expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
