Yandex Go Launches Ride-Hailing Service in Shakhrisabz
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The city of Shakhrisabz has become the latest in Uzbekistan to gain access to Yandex Go, a modern ride-hailing service. Residents and visitors can now easily book trips through the mobile app by selecting their preferred fare category.
To start using the service, users simply need to download the free Yandex Go app from the App Store or Google Play and complete a brief registration. Booking a ride requires entering a destination address or selecting a location on the map. The system will automatically assign the nearest available car and provide details about the estimated arrival time, driver, and vehicle make.
Rides can be paid for either in cash or via a bank card linked to the app. The minimum fare is 2,000 soums. For instance, a trip from the central park to Amir Temur Square costs approximately 4,500 soums.
The service operates using Yandex’s advanced technologies, including digital mapping, intelligent navigation, and an automated order distribution system.
Shakhrisabz is now the 19th city in Uzbekistan where Yandex Go is available. The service is already active in Tashkent, Namangan, Andijan, Fergana, Margilan, Kokand, Samarkand, Bukhara, Termez, Nukus, Karshi, Urgench, Khiva, Gulistan, Jizzakh, Navoi, Zarafshan, and Denau.
