Xinjiang entrepreneurs show great interest in investing in Ferghana region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his visit to the People’s Republic of China, Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov held a meeting with representatives of more than ten entrepreneurs and companies from Xinjiang in the city of Urumqi.
The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the Xinjiang-Uyghur Autonomous Region continues to grow, and to date, nearly 10% of the trade between the two countries is accounted for by this region.
Projects are being implemented with leading companies from Xinjiang in areas such as "green" energy, electrical engineering, the construction industry, the production of new building materials, metallurgy, infrastructure modernization, and other sectors.
During his discussions with the companies and entrepreneurs, the regional governor highlighted the favorable conditions created for foreign investors in the country, particularly in Ferghana, and the opportunities available for collaboration.
Xinjiang entrepreneurs expressed strong interest in implementing promising projects in Ferghana, such as "smart" agriculture, construction, the production of building materials, electrical engineering, and the manufacturing of aluminum doors and windows. They expressed their intention to invest in the region.
The governor supported their projects and invited them to begin cooperation with Ferghana.
