Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 May, a meeting was held at the Uzeltekhsanoat Association with representatives of the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the Association. The Russian delegation was led by Konstantin Zligostev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation.

The main objective of the talks was to explore ways to expand bilateral cooperation in the electrotechnical industry and strengthen production and trade ties between the two countries. Special attention was given to attracting leading Russian companies operating in the electric power and electrotechnical sectors to implement joint projects in Uzbekistan. In particular, the possibility of their establishment within the Eltech Industrial technopark in the Tashkent region was considered.

The parties also discussed prospects for increasing bilateral trade turnover, expanding investment cooperation involving Russian capital, and activating technological partnership.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the agreements reached could serve as an important impetus for elevating industrial and innovative cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia to a qualitatively new level. Both sides confirmed their interest in the continued progressive development of mutually beneficial and practical partnership.
