Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 6 May, a delegation from the Korea Electrical Industry Cooperative (KEIC), led by Chairman Jeong Myung Hoi, visited the Uzeltekhsanoat Association for a high-level meeting.

The delegation included KEIC CEO Baek Byung Nam; Chang Ho Won, Director of Hapdong Electronics IND Co., Ltd; Ahn Hee Deok, CEO of Shinwon Electronics; Jin Byung Yoon, CEO of Chang Hung Telecom Co., Ltd; Kim Dong Hwa, Director of Ora System Co., Ltd; Shin Yong In, Director of DH Media Tech Co., Ltd; and Lee Sang Wook, Director of Soldia Co., Ltd.

During the talks, Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of Uzeltekhsanoat, and his deputy Faridun Abdulalimov discussed the structure and priorities of both organizations, engaging in a detailed exchange of information with the guests.

KEIC Chairman Jeong Myung Hoi emphasized that the purpose of the visit was to explore Uzbekistan's investment climate and discuss new opportunities for cooperation in the electrical engineering sector.

Speaking at the meeting, Shin Yong In of DH Media Tech Co., Ltd noted that Uzbekistan was the first country selected for the company’s international expansion. He spoke about the establishment of DHMT Global in Chirchik in 2024.

At this facility, production has been launched under the KOMT brand for microphones, amplifiers, audio mixers, conference systems, equalizers, and equipment for DJs and recording studios.
This successful example has served as a catalyst for other Korean electrical engineering firms to consider practical cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Chairman Mirziyod Yunusov provided a detailed overview of Uzbekistan's electrical engineering industry, current collaboration with South Korea, and the favorable conditions being created for new investment projects.

Both sides exchanged ideas and proposals to deepen cooperation in areas such as joint investment projects, specialist training programs in Korea, the introduction of advanced technologies, and mutual knowledge sharing.

At the conclusion of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Uzeltekhsanoat and the Korea Electrical Industry Cooperative.

Both parties confirmed their interest in further collaboration and noted the key agreements reached during the discussions.
