Uzbekistan, Yunus Textile mills hold talks on joint textile production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by Akobir Tukhtaev, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, held negotiations with the leadership of Yunus Textile Mills, one of Pakistan’s leading textile companies.
Founded in 1983 and part of the Taba Group, Yunus Textile Mills is a family-owned private enterprise and a recognized leader in Pakistan’s textile sector.
The company operates a fully integrated production cycle, encompassing yarn manufacturing, weaving, dyeing, and finished product output. With a daily production volume of approximately 500,000 square meters and an annual output of 180 million square meters, the company is exclusively export-oriented. Yunus Textile Mills employs around 10,000 workers and leverages advanced technologies from Europe and Japan to ensure high levels of automation and efficiency.
Its main product line consists of home textiles—blankets, pillows, bed sheets, curtains, tablecloths, and towels. The company holds over 25 international certifications, confirming its commitment to quality and compliance with global standards.
During the meeting, the Uzbek delegation proposed establishing a joint production facility for home textiles at idle textile plants in Uzbekistan. The leadership of Yunus Textile Mills expressed strong interest in the initiative and signaled its intention to visit Uzbekistan soon to explore potential avenues for cooperation more thoroughly.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which lays a solid legal foundation for future partnership and the implementation of joint textile projects between the two sides.
