Uzbekistan U-19 books place in final stage of AFC U-19 Championship

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan U-19 booked its place in the final stage of the AFC U-19 Championship on Sunday after claiming a 2-1 victory over Turkmenistan.

Despite Uzbekistan dominated in the first half of the match, Turkmenistan opened the score. Orazberdi Murodov was on target for Turkmenistan in the 42nd minute of the match.

After restart, Ahmadjon Musaev side increased pressure and immediately scored equalizer through Abbosbek Mahstaliev (49th minute).

Jakhongir Abdumuminov scored the winner for Uzbekistan eight minutes from full time.

Uzbekistan U-19 will play its last match in Group C against hosts Iran. The match will take place on 8 November 2011.
