Uzbekistan to expand aviation fuel production by 2030

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan plans to increase its production of aviation fuel to 600,000 tons per year by 2030, while expanding storage capacity to 80,000 tons.

The plan was presented during a review of transport infrastructure development proposals by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the data presented, the total capacity of fuel supply complexes at airports across the country currently stands at 49,000 tons. To achieve the target indicators, the construction of new storage facilities is planned at international airports in Navoiy, Andijan, Bukhara, Urgench, as well as at the new international airport “New Tashkent”.

The initiative places special emphasis on modernizing aviation fuel storage and refueling infrastructure, with a gradual transition to international standards.

Tasks have also been set to digitize the management of fuel supply complexes within the current year and to strengthen state control over compliance with technological requirements.

The project is being implemented as part of the broader development of the aviation sector and efforts to improve the efficiency of the country’s transport infrastructure.
