Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is paying increased attention to the development of its agricultural insurance system, with a focus on studying and adapting international best practices to the needs of the country’s agrarian sector.

As part of this initiative, a delegation comprising representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and other relevant institutions is conducting working visits to Türkiye and Azerbaijan to gain insights into agricultural insurance processes.

During the visits, the delegation is holding meetings with representatives of agricultural ministries, insurance regulatory and supervisory agencies, agricultural insurance funds, and other key institutions.

Discussions are centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation in agriculture, improving Uzbekistan’s agricultural insurance system, and introducing effective mechanisms for insuring agricultural products.

Particular attention is being given to the digitalization of insurance systems and the creation of user-friendly and transparent electronic platforms for farmers and agribusinesses.

The parties are also exchanging experiences in agricultural insurance, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and the implementation of monitoring systems. As a result of these exchanges, concrete agreements have been reached on applying these innovations in Uzbekistan.

These efforts are expected to significantly enhance the resilience of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, improve protection against risks, and safeguard the interests of farmers.
