Uzbekistan remains the main market for Kazakh grain
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From September 2024 to April 2025, Kazakhstan exported 7.6 million tonnes of newly harvested grain, marking a 58% increase compared to the same period in 2023–2024, when the figure stood at 4.8 million tonnes, according to Forbes Kazakhstan.
Uzbekistan continues to be the primary market for Kazakh grain, with exports reaching 2.7 million tonnes — a 29.7% increase compared to 2023, when 2 million tonnes were delivered.
The following figures for other export destinations are also noteworthy:
Tajikistan — 1.1 million tonnes, up by 51%
Afghanistan — 270,000 tonnes, an increase of 34%
Kyrgyzstan — 181,000 tonnes, more than double last year's volume
Iran — 889,000 tonnes, a 16.4-fold increase
Azerbaijan — 569,000 tonnes, up by a factor of 113.8
