Uzbekistan operates 40 cement plants with a capacity of 39.7 million tons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan currently has 40 cement plants, according to data from the Uzsanoatkurilishmateriallari Association (Uzpromstroymaterialy).

The total annual production capacity of these plants reaches 39.7 million tons of cement, with over 13,000 people employed in the sector. In 2024, seven investment projects were implemented, adding 7 million tons to the country’s annual cement production capacity.

Fergana region leads in the number of cement plants, with 10 facilities producing a total of 5.04 million tons annually.

Andijan region follows with 8 cement plants and a total production capacity of 7.02 million tons per year.

Samarkand region has 5 plants producing 3.65 million tons of cement annually.

Jizzakh and Namangan regions each have 4 cement plants, with a capacity of 4.7 million tons in Jizzakh and 2.05 million tons in Namangan.

Tashkent region also has 4 cement plants, with a combined production capacity of 6.5 million tons per year.

Surkhandarya region and Karakalpakstan each have 2 plants, producing 1.86 million and 1.6 million tons of cement, respectively.

Additionally, Navoi region is home to a large plant with an annual production capacity of 5.7 million tons, while Kashkadarya region has one plant producing 1.6 million tons per year.
