Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January 2025, Uzbekistan continued to strengthen its position in the international textile market. According to the National Statistics Committee, the country’s textile exports reached US$198.5 million, accounting for 15.2% of Uzbekistan’s total exports.

Finished textile products made up the largest share of exports, amounting to US$88.6 million. A significant portion of shipments also included yarn (US$70.9 million) and knitted fabric (US$23.0 million). Additionally, Uzbek fabrics (US$11.6 million), hosiery (US$2.7 million), and carpet products (US$1.7 million) remained in demand among international buyers.

These figures highlight the dynamic growth of Uzbekistan’s textile industry, which is becoming increasingly competitive in the global market. The sector’s success is attributed to active modernization of production, the introduction of new technologies, and the expansion of product offerings.

Experts note that Uzbekistan’s textile industry continues to demonstrate steady growth, contributing to the country’s foreign exchange earnings. The government plans to further support the sector’s development, opening new opportunities to expand the nation’s export potential.
