Uzbekistan discusses financial cooperation with Société Générale
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 May, the Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Akram Aliyev, held talks with Teyba Guliyeva, Managing Director for the CIS region at Société Générale.
Société Générale is one of Europe’s largest financial groups, specializing in corporate and investment banking services, asset management, and sustainable finance. The bank also holds leading positions in ESG and green financing.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan’s financial and corporate sectors, developing investment banking instruments, issuing eurobonds, attracting syndicated loans, and using other capital market mechanisms.
The discussions also covered financing opportunities in the mining sector, including the extraction and processing of technological and rare earth metals, as well as support for investment initiatives in energy and infrastructure.
