Uzbekistan–China: New Stage in Trade, Economic, and Investment Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The “Uzbekistan–China Forum on Trade, Economic, and Investment Cooperation” was held in Beijing, attended by a delegation led by Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In recent years, bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and China have reached a new level, developing across multiple sectors based on mutual interests. Special attention is being given to agriculture, including the introduction of Chinese agrotechnologies in cotton farming, development of seed production, and exchange of experience in science and innovation.
During the forum, several agreements were signed, marking a new stage of cooperation. Alisher Shukurov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, and Fu Bo, Executive Director of China Broad Future Tobacco International Import and Export Trading Co. Ltd, signed an agreement to establish a joint venture and an agro-industrial park in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, Alisher Shukurov and Qin Tian Cang, Executive Director of Henan Bio-Industry Group Co., Ltd, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the “Uzbekistan–China Industrial Park for Biotechnology and Agricultural Technologies” project.
These initiatives are expected to create new jobs, implement modern technologies, and introduce innovative approaches in the agricultural sector.
At the conclusion of the forum, both sides highlighted the potential of joint projects, discussed mutually beneficial aspects of cooperation, and exchanged the signed documents.
