Uzbekistan begins preparations for Navruz 2025 under the motto “May Your Values Be Eternal, Navruz!”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree “On the preparation and celebration of the nationwide holiday of Navruz in 2025”.
According to the document, the celebrations will be held on a grand scale, emphasizing the timeless values of folk traditions and social unity.
This year, special attention will be given to honoring the older generation. Given that Navruz coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, particular respect will be paid to World War II veterans and labor front workers. Across various regions of the country, festive dastarkhans and charity events will be organized for residents of the “Mehribonlik,” “Sakhovat,” and “Muruvvat” homes, as well as for socially vulnerable groups.
The central event of Navruz will be the traditional public festivities—saïls—bringing together people of all ages and social backgrounds. The organizing committee and the approved ideological and artistic concept are set to ensure a high-level celebration.
A special place in the holiday program will be given to the nationwide initiative “Yashil Makon” (“Green Space”). In the lead-up to Navruz, large-scale community clean-up campaigns (khashars), landscaping, and greening efforts will take place across the country. All regions, districts, cities, streets, and mahallas will take part, fostering a festive atmosphere of unity and renewal.
The culmination of the celebrations will be grand events in Tashkent. The “New Uzbekistan” complex will host a vibrant public gathering with a specially curated program, serving as the grand finale of the festivities.
Navruz 2025 promises to be not only a symbol of the arrival of spring but also an important step in strengthening national traditions, fostering social cohesion, and demonstrating care for every citizen.
