Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 September 2025, the chairpersons of the Senate committees of the Oliy Majlis—Orzigul Kozikhanova, responsible for youth, women, culture, and sports, and Alisher Agzamkhodjaev, responsible for international relations, foreign economic ties, foreign investments, and tourism—held a meeting with a delegation led by Kurshad Zorlu, Deputy Chairman of Türkiye’s Justice and Development Party and head of the party’s department for cooperation with Turkic states.

During the discussion, the parties addressed cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, focusing in particular on youth policy and the strengthening of interparliamentary relations.

It was noted that Uzbekistan’s open and pragmatic foreign policy contributes to the country’s promotion on the international stage as a reliable partner. Key priorities of this policy include ensuring regional stability, fostering good-neighborly relations, and expanding international partnerships.

In recent years, Uzbekistan and Türkiye have been developing consistent and effective cooperation in the field of youth policy. Special attention is given to joint initiatives in education, culture, volunteer work, and youth projects.

The meeting also included presentations on measures to implement state youth policy in Uzbekistan, the relevant legal and regulatory framework, and the opportunities being created for young people.

Specifically, discussions covered youth support through the “Youth Notebook” system, the development of youth entrepreneurship, and achievements in higher education.
