Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom Expand Business Cooperation: Talks Held with the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom held online talks with Qoyas Miyah, Head of International Trade at the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the Dunyo news agency reports.
The two sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Uzbek and British companies. Priority areas identified for partnership include agriculture, logistics, information technology, renewable energy, industry, and healthcare.
Special attention was paid to practical measures supporting Uzbek businesses. In particular, discussions focused on facilitating entry into the UK market, supporting foreign economic activities, conducting market research, managing risks, and applying tariffs.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to coordinate efforts to strengthen partnerships and implement joint projects.
Background: The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest business associations in the United Kingdom, established in 1884. It is part of the British Chambers of Commerce network and brings together around 1,800 companies.
