Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Roberto Manalo, Ambassador of the Philippines to Uzbekistan based in Tehran.

During the talks, the Philippine side highly praised Uzbekistan's investment climate and the conditions created for foreign investors.

The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, placing particular emphasis on expanding investment collaboration in the fields of ICT, electrical engineering, transportation, geology, and the textile industry, as well as measures to attract Philippine investors to Uzbekistan.

In this context, the possibility of holding a joint business forum with the participation of the business communities of both countries, within the framework of the next round of political dialogue scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year in Manila, was considered.
