Uzbekistan and Slovenia Reach Agreement on Employment of Citizens in the European Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Tashkent between Greta Metka Barbo Škerbinc, President of the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES) and Head of the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia, and Behzod Musayev, Director of the Agency for Migration Issues.

The talks, held as part of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Slovenia, open up new opportunities for the employment of Uzbek citizens in the European labor market.

The parties discussed cooperation in the field of labor migration, ensuring safe and fair working conditions, as well as organizing Slovenian language courses and professional training programs in Uzbekistan.

In addition, contracts were signed with more than ten leading Slovenian companies, ready to provide Uzbek workers with salaries starting from €1,200, as well as housing, meals, and health insurance.
