Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 April, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the Russian biotechnology company ALCOR BIO.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects of implementing joint investment projects, particularly the localization of diagnostic reagents production in Uzbekistan. The initiative is aimed at achieving the country’s strategic goals of developing the pharmaceutical industry and reducing reliance on imports.

Alkor Bio group of companies is one of the leading manufacturers in Russia, specializing in the development and production of reagent kits and laboratory diagnostic equipment using immunoassay (IFA) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their joint work and exchange additional technical and economic information necessary to assess the project’s parameters and prepare the relevant documentation.
