Uzbekistan and KfW Deepen Cooperation in Employment and Vocational Education
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation led by Andreas Schneider, Head of the KfW Development Bank’s Regional Office for Central Asia.
During the negotiations, both sides emphasized that cooperation with KfW has been developing actively and has already yielded tangible results in the implementation of projects aimed at increasing employment and reducing poverty in the country.
One of the key areas of collaboration is the “Vocational Education Development” project. As part of this initiative, seven Skills Development Centers across various regions of Uzbekistan are being reconstructed and technically upgraded. Additionally, training modules are being updated both in content and methodology, in line with the principles of dual education and the current demands of the labor market.
The meeting included a detailed review of the project’s implementation progress and identified priority areas for further action in the near term.
