Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Strengthen Cooperation in the Field of Sports
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation representing the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, is on a working visit to Almaty, Kazakhstan, to engage in a series of high-level meetings aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of sports.
During the visit, negotiations were held with Erbol Mirzabossynov, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Gennady Golovkin, legendary boxer and President of Kazakhstan’s National Olympic Committee; and Kairat Boranbayev, Head of the Paralympic Committee.
The discussions focused on a broad range of topics, including the organization of joint training camps for national teams, preparation for international competitions, identification and support of young sports talents, and sharing best practices in the development of modern sports infrastructure.
The outcomes of this visit are expected to mark the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the sports domain and contribute to closer collaboration between relevant institutions of both countries.
