Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Accelerate Construction of International Industrial Cooperation Center

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 June 2025, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and Kazakhstan’s Minister of Trade and Integration, Arman Shakkaliev, paid a working visit to the Syrdarya region.

The central focus of their discussions was the acceleration of the construction of the Central Asia International Industrial Cooperation Center, a strategic platform being developed on the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan border to deepen industrial cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit, the ministers reviewed the progress of the project on both sides of the Center, which covers a total area of 100 hectares. Work is currently underway on laying utility infrastructure and building the necessary facilities to support the launch of future industrial production capacities.

Following the visit, the parties agreed on concrete measures aimed at expediting the opening of the first joint manufacturing operations and identified priority areas for cooperation. In addition, a Protocol of Joint Actions was signed, outlining key steps for the dynamic development of the Center and the active attraction of investors.

The establishment of the Center represents a significant step in strengthening the economic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. It will lay a solid foundation for building resilient production value chains across the region and create new opportunities for industrial integration in Central Asia.
