Uzbekistan and Hungary are developing a comprehensive program to enhance industrial cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, continues its active work in Budapest aimed at deepening investment, trade-economic, and industrial cooperation with Hungary.

Between 17 and 19 May, a series of focused negotiations took place with leaders of major Hungarian companies that hold leading positions in the Eastern European market in sectors such as industrial zone management and development, wholesale and retail trade, infrastructure and road construction, digitalization, energy, electrical equipment manufacturing, and project financing.

Representatives from Uzbekistan’s business community also participated in the meetings. As a result of the negotiations, concrete agreements were reached regarding the implementation of joint investment initiatives involving direct investments, advanced technologies, and management solutions.

For several projects aimed at producing competitive products with high added value and export potential, measures to localize production within Uzbek special industrial zones were agreed upon at an early stage of their implementation.

The agreements reached will serve as the foundation for forming a comprehensive Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation program.

The plan includes appointing responsible project managers and implementing phased monitoring mechanisms for the execution of each project.
