Uzbekistan and China Expand Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, held a video conference with Mr. Li Yan Tao, Director of the Chinese company WANLIN Group.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed in detail the prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the agricultural sector.
Particular attention was given to a project aimed at cultivating vegetable crops in Uzbekistan using Chinese agricultural technologies. The initiative envisions the production of onions, carrots, and garlic through the application of advanced Chinese expertise.
Participants highlighted the dynamic development of agricultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, which is contributing to the introduction of modern agrotechnologies, the advancement of seed production, the promotion of scientific research and innovative solutions, and the active exchange of expertise between specialists from both countries.
Following the discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed for the implementation of the vegetable cultivation project based on Chinese practices.
The signing of this document marks an important step toward the modernization of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector and the enhancement of vegetable production and processing efficiency.
