Uzbekistan and China discuss construction of residential complex in Andijan region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 April of this year, Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, held negotiations with a delegation from the People's Republic of China, headed by Fan Yuhu — Executive Chairman of the Jiangxi Province Entrepreneurs Association, Chairman of the Western Jiangxi Entrepreneurs Union, and of the Xinjiang–Jiangxi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for implementing a major investment project in the city of New Andijan, located in the Andijan region. The total value of the project amounts to US$250 million, covering an area of 55 hectares.
The project envisions the construction of more than 3,000 residential apartments, a hotel complex, restaurants, a shopping center, and a park area. The implementation of the project is expected to create around 500 permanent jobs.
