Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation led by Andreas Reichhardt, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Austria.

During the talks, First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology Oybek Nasritdinkhodjaev, officials of the ministry, and members of the Austrian delegation reviewed key aspects of the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s mining sector.

Particular attention was given to creating a favorable investment climate and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Austrian companies interested in entering the Uzbek market.

The sides also exchanged views on the development of joint educational programs with the University of Geological Sciences, the implementation of projects by the Uzbek Technological Metals Combine, and cooperation prospects between Uzbekistan’s Localization Center and the Austrian company ASMAG, along with other leading manufacturers of mining and metallurgical equipment.

The meeting took place in a constructive and substantive atmosphere, reaffirming the shared interest in strengthening partnership ties and advancing new collaborative initiatives.
