Uzbekistan and Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance discuss prospects for cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the official visit of the delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan, a meeting was held in Tokyo with Keisuke Niiro, President of the insurance company Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance.

During the discussion, high praise was given to Uzbekistan’s achievements over recent years, including the dynamic development of digital infrastructure, the active expansion of the range of electronic government services, and the deepening of international cooperation in this area. The parties exchanged views on the prospects for digital development and the existing potential of the country.

Representatives of the Japanese side presented an initiative titled “Driving a Data-Driven Future for Uzbekistan,” based on the concepts of Creating Shared Value and Digital Transformation. The project aims to create a sustainable, modern, and safe urban environment through the implementation of urban planning approaches grounded in big data analysis.

As part of the initiative, vehicles are to be equipped with specialized telematics devices that collect and process three categories of data in the event of road traffic accidents: damage information from insurance companies, telematics data directly from the vehicles, and information from the accident site provided by partner organizations, including JICA.

The data obtained will be used by Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance to develop solutions aimed at building an intelligent, safe, and economically active urban environment.

To enhance the project’s implementation efficiency, it was proposed to establish cooperation with JSC “O‘zbektelekom.”

Additionally, to coordinate work with government bodies and ensure a systematic approach to the initiative’s execution, it was decided to appoint a responsible manager from the Digital Government Project Management Center to oversee this project.
