Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 June 2025, a meeting took place between a delegation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), led by Head of Investment Operations Konstantin Limitovskiy, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov.

Also attending were AIIB’s Head of Client Relations Hon Wei, Deputy Ministers Ilkhomjon Umurzakov and Samandar Sadullaev, and other senior officials from both sides.

The meeting focused on the current status and future prospects of cooperation, with an emphasis on accelerating infrastructure initiatives. Key areas of discussion included the development and modernization of water supply systems, expansion of transport infrastructure, enhancement of electricity and gas supply networks in the regions, and improvement of energy efficiency through the introduction of modern green heating technologies in buildings.

Special attention was also given to the active use of public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms in the implementation of infrastructure projects.

The two sides agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation, maintain close dialogue, and pursue joint efforts toward the implementation of shared objectives.
