Uzbekistan and Afghanistan Expand Cooperation in Textile Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, made a working visit to Afghanistan, where he held a series of important meetings with officials in Kabul and Kandahar.
During the visit, negotiations were conducted with representatives of Afghan government agencies on developing industrial cooperation, particularly in the textile industry and processing sectors.
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the State Textile Corporation of Afghanistan. The document was signed by Davron Vakhabov and Abdul Hamid Okhundzoda, head of the corporation.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior Afghan officials, including the Minister of Mining and Petroleum Hidayatullo Badri, Finance Minister Mullah Nasir Okhund, Minister of Economy Din Muhammad Hanif, and Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq.
The agreements reached lay a solid foundation for expanding bilateral economic partnership and implementing joint projects between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
