Uzbekistan and ADQ prepare joint projects in healthcare, education, and infrastructure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 March, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held talks with ADQ’s Senior Executive Director, Roderick Mathers, and Plenary Group’s Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East, Mustafa Fakhour.
The parties discussed measures to implement agreements reached during the high-level visit to the UAE in January. Special attention was given to the introduction of projects in healthcare, education, mining, housing, infrastructure development, and water supply management, including the application of public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms.
At the end of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling the agreed-upon initiatives and outlined an effective cooperation framework to ensure the timely execution of planned projects.
Plenary Group, an Australian company founded in 2004, has assets exceeding US$35 billion and operates in North America, Australia, the UK, and the Middle East. In 2024, ADQ acquired a 49% stake in Plenary Group. The company invests in social and infrastructure projects following the DBFM (Design, Build, Finance, and Maintain) model.
