Uzbekistan Airways introduces new fare structure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — To enhance the accessibility of air travel for the population of Uzbekistan, the national carrier Uzbekistan Airways has implemented an updated fare structure for its economy class.
Under the new regulations, the previous ten-tier fare system has been replaced by a simplified scheme consisting of four categories. This change aims to improve pricing transparency and make tickets more affordable for a broader audience. Specifically, maximum fares have been reduced, enabling the airline to simplify fare selection for passengers, increase the availability of tickets at the lowest price, and expand opportunities for budget air travel.
Each of the four fare categories offers options both with checked baggage and refundability, as well as without baggage and under non-refundable conditions, thus accommodating individual passenger preferences and financial capabilities.
The minimum ticket prices remain unchanged. At the same time, the step between fare levels has been optimized to maintain a reasonable balance between price, comfort, and flexibility. The significant reduction in maximum fares marks an additional measure to improve transportation mobility across the country.
The new fare structure is already in effect on several domestic routes:
Tashkent – Samarkand: from 249,000 soums
Tashkent – Namangan: from 249,000 soums
Tashkent – Fergana: from 249,000 soums
Tashkent – Karshi: from 278,000 soums
Tashkent – Termez: from 424,000 soums
Tashkent – Bukhara: from 293,000 soums
Tashkent – Urgench: from 512,000 soums
Tashkent – Nukus: from 512,000 soums
Bukhara – Urgench: from 336,000 soums
With this updated fare system, the airline expects to significantly broaden the circle of passengers who will have access to air travel within the republic.
