Uzbekistan Airports Denies Fake News About Forgotten Luggage Sale
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airports has officially refuted circulating social media claims about an alleged charity sale of unclaimed baggage at Tashkent International Airport.
In a public statement, the airport management company stressed that no airport in the country, nor its subsidiaries UzCargo and Uzbekistan Airports Handling, is involved in the sale or transfer of passenger luggage to third parties.
All such property is securely stored in designated airport facilities and, after a three-month retention period, is disposed of in accordance with established regulations.
Uzbekistan Airports strongly urges the public not to fall for false information and to refrain from transferring any money to fraudsters.
