Uzbek rhythmic gymnastics team completes the Asian Championship with 17 medals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The rhythmic gymnastics team of Uzbekistan won 6 gold and 3 silver medals on the final day of the continental championship in Thailand.

Today, our compatriot Takhmina Ikromova won gold medals in exercises with a hoop, ball and clubs. Also, another representative of Uzbekistan, Sabina Tashkenbayeva, was awarded a silver medal in her performance with the ball.

Uzbek gymnasts in the group exercise in the program with 3 ribbons and 2 balls showed the highest result among the athletes of the continent. Another 2 first places for the national team of Uzbekistan in the youth group - the performance of Evelina Atalyants with a mace and Vilana Savadyan with a ribbon were rated with gold awards. Domestic graces in a group exercise with 5 balls climbed to the second step of the podium.

Thus, the medals won by the Uzbekistan national team at the Championships are 10 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals.
