Uzbek Government Simplifies Procedure for Obtaining Permits for Goods Processing in Customs Territory
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted Resolution No. 555 on 2 September 2025, “On Additional Measures to Further Simplify the Processing of Goods in the Customs Territory.”
The resolution approves a new Regulation “On the Customs Regime of Processing in the Customs Territory,” which defines the procedure for applying this regime.
Under the regulation, goods can be placed under the customs processing regime based on the Customs Code and the corresponding permit. To obtain a permit, an authorized person submits an application through the official website of the Customs Committee to the customs authority at the location of the processing operations. For processing of special types of goods, the application is submitted directly to the Customs Committee.
The application must include information about the production process, the standard yield of processed products established by the applicant, a description of methods for identifying goods in the final products, and any necessary contracts for conducting the operations.
The customs authority reviews submitted documents within 10 working days. The permit is issued for the period specified in the application, but it cannot exceed two years.
