UzAuto Motors Opens Third Press Shop, Production to Increase by 25%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC UzAuto Motors has officially inaugurated its third press shop, aimed at expanding the company’s production capacity.
According to the company, the launch of the new facility will enable the production of an additional 140,000 vehicles per year, raising the total annual output from 410,000 to 550,000 cars. This represents a 25.4% increase in production, creating new opportunities for the development of Uzbekistan’s domestic automotive industry.
UzAuto Motors is one of the largest players in the Uzbek automotive market. In 2024, the company held an 88% market share, selling 353,730 vehicles.
The automaker plans to introduce eight new car models in the near future. This was announced by the company’s CEO, Janos Kovacs, during the presentation of the Chevrolet Tahoe High Country SUV in Tashkent.
According to Kovacs, the Tahoe High Country is the first model in the new lineup. Specific models and release dates have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that one of the upcoming releases will be a hybrid version of the Chevrolet Captiva.
