UzAuto Invests in SUVs and Functional Vehicles for a Growing Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — UzAuto Motors is preparing to expand its model lineup with new sport utility vehicles (SUVs), CEO Janos Kovacs announced. According to him, eight new models are currently in development and will soon be introduced to the Uzbek market.

“We are expanding our model range. We plan to enter the SUV market with new models. Eight models are currently in development and will be launched in the near future,” Kovacs said.

Vadim Artamonov, Deputy CEO for Sales and After-Sales Service, added that the company is also updating its flagship Chevrolet Cobalt model by adding new features to enhance comfort and functionality. In addition, UzAuto is working on a commercial minivan based on the Damas production facility in Khorezm region, with major assembly scheduled for 2026.

In August, UzAuto Motors unveiled the new 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country. Sales of the SUV, priced above 1.46 billion soums, are set to begin on 11 September.

The company also recently announced the updated 2025 Chevrolet Cobalt, featuring a modernized interior that includes a new instrument panel, heated front seats, cruise control, and steering-wheel multimedia controls.

According to UzAuto Motors’ leadership, the expansion of the model lineup aims to strengthen the company’s position in the SUV and commercial vehicle markets and to meet growing consumer demand for modern, functional vehicles.
