UzAtom and Technip Energies Discuss Nuclear and Energy Infrastructure Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 July, the UzAtom Agency hosted a meeting with Luigi Fiorentino, Vice President of the international engineering company Technip Energies, and Gaetano Crisci, Director of the joint venture UTG Energies.
The discussions focused on prospects for establishing a long-term strategic partnership in implementing projects aimed at developing Uzbekistan’s nuclear and energy infrastructure. Representatives of Technip Energies reaffirmed their readiness to make a substantial contribution to the creation of modern infrastructure solutions, including design, preparation of project documentation, and technical supervision in line with international standards.
Special attention was given to financing joint initiatives. The parties considered mechanisms for attracting export credit financing and international grants to support large-scale projects. Technip Energies also expressed interest in establishing an official partnership with the Uzbek side and jointly entering third-country markets.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual commitment to deepening dialogue and working out specific areas of cooperation focused on the development of sustainable energy and the introduction of advanced technologies.
