Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The city of Urgench has received 30 modern buses as part of efforts to enhance public transportation, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport.

This delivery is part of the ongoing implementation of the Presidential Decree PP-59, dated 16 February 2023, aimed at improving the quality of public transport services in Urgench.

Specifically, the regional passenger transport company “Bunyod Yo‘lovchi Tashish” received 30 Zongtong-brand buses manufactured in China.

In total, the company has purchased 80 buses of this brand at a cost of approximately US$8 million, financed through preferential loans from Uzmilliybank.
