Ukrainian Foreign Minister to visit Uzbekistan

Chairperson of the Department of Information Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Voloshin said that the visit of Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to Tashkent will take place 5-6 February 2012.

He said that Kostyantyn Gryshchenko will hold negotiations with the leadership of Uzbekistan to discuss cooperation in energy sector, which is important for Ukraine as Uzbekistan has large volume of energy resources.

Voloshin stated that Uzbekistan is important for Uzbekistan as trade turnover between two states increased three times year-on-year in 2011 to US$911 million.
