Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Freight transportation through the Salang Pass has resumed, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport.

The Afghan side has informed that, as of June 17, 2025, the movement of large freight vehicles heading toward Pakistani ports is once again permitted through the Salang Pass.

While repair work on the route will continue, it will no longer restrict cargo transport.

It is worth recalling that restoration efforts on the Salang Pass began on June 10, 2025.
