The Senate Approves Amendments Aimed at Strengthening Legal Protection for Citizens and Businesses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the tenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Law “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was reviewed and approved.

It was noted that in recent years, the country has been consistently implementing reforms aimed at ensuring reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities. Special attention is being given to closing legal gaps, ensuring uniformity in law enforcement practices, minimizing corruption risks, and reducing administrative barriers for citizens and entrepreneurs.

The adopted law provides for amendments and additions to twelve legislative acts, including the Laws “On Licensing, Permitting, and Notification Procedures,” “On State Duties,” “On Preschool Education and Upbringing,” “On Education,” “On Employment of the Population,” as well as the Tax Code.

Senators emphasized that these amendments will contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of legal regulation, protecting the rights and interests of citizens and business entities, and simplifying procedures in a number of areas.

Following the discussion, the law was approved by the upper chamber of parliament.
