The Al-Khwarizmi School to Serve as a Model for New Regional IT Branches Across Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution outlining new measures to expand the network of specialized information technology schools operating under the Agency for Specialized Educational Institutions.
According to the resolution, the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Specialized School in Tashkent has been designated as the flagship institution for this initiative. Based on its model, regional branches will be established throughout the country.
The leadership teams of both the main school and its regional branches will be selected through a two-stage competitive process. Teaching staff, in turn, will undergo a three-stage evaluation and selection procedure.
Student admissions to the regional branches will follow the same rules and procedures applied by the main school.
Each branch will provide students with free healthy meals, arranged through outsourcing and in full compliance with established health and nutrition standards.
Additionally, the branches will be equipped with modern classroom furniture, including desks with HPL-coated plastic surfaces and ergonomic chairs made from bent laminated plywood with similar coatings — all meeting current sanitary, hygiene, and ergonomic regulations.
