Tashkent Hosts Talks on the Future of Aviation Digitalization: Uzbekistan Airports Meets ADB Consultant
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airports held a meeting with Brendan Sobie, aviation consultant for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as part of a technical mission focused on advancing digitalization in Uzbekistan’s transport sector.
During the meeting, representatives of Uzbekistan Airports presented the company’s ongoing efforts to modernize its IT infrastructure and implement digital technologies across airport management operations. They highlighted progress in automating key processes, deploying intelligent video surveillance and access control systems, introducing digital passenger check-in, and building a unified IT architecture.
A key part of the discussions centered on the presentation of Uzbekistan Airports’ Digital Transformation Strategy for 2025–2030, which outlines the company’s core priorities: the digitalization of customer and operational services, integration with national digital platforms, adoption of smart technologies, development of IT infrastructure, and strengthening of cybersecurity.
The ADB visit and resulting exchange of expertise marked an important step toward deepening international cooperation and accelerating the technological modernization of Uzbekistan’s aviation sector.
