Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting with the new academic year, schools in 12 districts of Tashkent will implement the “Tashkent Experience” project, aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of school education, the city hokimiyat press service reported.

The project will cover 60 classes, with five classes selected from each participating school. In the chosen schools, classrooms will undergo major renovations, and new robotics and VR laboratories will be established. Computer labs, as well as physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories, will be modernized. Schools will also receive new sports equipment, visual aids, and literary works for their libraries.

The participating schools include: No. 358 (Bektemir District), No. 154 (Mirabad District), No. 121 (Mirzo-Ulugbek District), No. 16 (Almazar District), No. 266 (Sergei District), No. 4 (Uchtepa District), No. 200 (Chilanzar District), No. 84 (Shaykhantakhur District), No. 88 (Yunusabad District), No. 73 (Yakkasaray District), No. 332 (Yangihayot District), and No. 339 (Yashnabad District).

The project aims to elevate the school education system to a new level, expanding opportunities for in-depth knowledge acquisition, international certifications, and high-quality preparation for higher education admission.

Teachers will undergo a competitive selection process, and thematic plans for additional subjects for grades 7–11, as well as programs for preparation for international and national certifications, will be developed. Students will be able to attend special classes through additional instructional hours, and lessons will follow flexible curricula.

Participating teachers will receive bonuses, and their effectiveness will be assessed based on student engagement and academic performance, forming the basis for an additional incentive system (KPI).

Student meals are planned to be funded from local district budgets, contingent on approval of the corresponding measures by district councils of people’s deputies.
